About Me

My name is Ryan Jacobson, and I have been a middle school English and Social Studies teacher in Rhode Island, USA for the past fifteen years.

I received my Master's Degree in New Media Journalism from Full Sail University in 2016, and decided to make some use out of it, take a year off from teaching, and travel the world.

The idea of Venture Twelve started as an attempt to see if I could spend 12 days in as many countries as I could get to in 12 months, on a 12 thousand dollar budget. I quickly realized, however, that I enjoy the finer things in life a little too much to give them up for a year.

So the new idea of Venture Twelve was born... still spending 12 days in each destination, but four days will be spent on a tight budget, four days on a moderate budget, and four days in luxury.

The idea came to me that anybody vacationing on a moderate budget, can spend a third of their vacation living as a king or queen, just by making some sacrifices at the beginning of your trip was too intriguing to pass up.

So on July 1, 2018, Venture Twelve officially started.

I know people usually talk a little more about their interests in "About Me" sections , so you should also know that I really enjoy wine, competitive Reality TV Shows, and The Killers.

Thanks for taking the time to visit Venture Twelve, and please feel free to drop me a message if you have any comments, questions, or simply want to meet up for a beer along the Venture.

Live Your List,

Ryan
